News from #VKDoom Land! Our lightmapper can bake shadows from arbitrary static meshes (Actors rendered with models that are expected to not move, change or disappear).
This is to facilitate with static decorations that are too cumbersome to construct out of Doom sectors

That's the goal! But even in its current WIP state, VKDoom already has slightly better framerates than GZDoom due to our main shader optimization and overhauls
There is, but due to the highly-WIP and ever-changing nature of the engine, the config is currently only hosted in our Discord discord.gg/6hhns9HyPx (will upload it to a more permanent site when v1.0 hits)
Hop in the zdray-lightmaps channel and check the pins!
Would love to see some DM maps made for VKDoom eventually! Would go well with the netcode rework we're currently prototyping
