I've updated the banner. I'm ambivalent about the logo, but I've already invested a lot of free time and money to keep this bot and others running. Happy to take suggestions but don't have the need or funds for anything custom.

What would you consider instead? If you know a graphic designer that wants to make a logo for it I'd be happy to switch.
DMs open. Let's figure out what the confusion is and you can help the messaging around the bot.
Ah I see based on your other posts. The info is still correct on a technical level, the domain is unregistered which is important to know. Would be happy to adjust the language if it would make it more clear.
Would love to know more. This is based on the registration provided by the government itself and can be validated with a WHOIS lookup.
These sites were formally registered and have been unregistered. This is all that is reported.
It only checks if the government has unregistered the actual domain. They can change content and even make it go dark. Unregistering the domain is a definitive final step.
It also checks for new domains like dei.gov and waste.gov which exist but have no content yet.
Yes it pulls from the CISA GitHub 4x a day through a GitHub action and the bot will post on additions and deletions. There are modifications like change of email but they seemed less important.
I built a bluesky bot that monitors when Federal US .gov domains are added or deleted.
bsky.app/profile/fed-...
It will update 4x a day and help you notice things like waste.gov or dei.gov (both just registered) or that PSLF.gov was removed. Share widely and feedback appreciated!
