It was a textbook example of "live to work," so for as long as the severance pay lasts, I'll try to just live and not work. Like, seriously, I found out so much about myself in those past 5 months (mostly through getting laid more). I really let that job put my life on pause.

During my time working at my old job, I had carpal tunnel 4 times and 3 herniated disks because I ignored pain. Btw, the herniated disks resulted in paraplegia which required surgery and almost 2 months in 2 hospitals to fix and I'll probably retain some residual numbness in some places for life.

Like, technically I haven't been working there since October but my contract and employment only really ended March 1st, so I have had time to myself and it turns out I neglected every single aspect of my life because of how much my job physically and mentally drained me.

Turning 32 this Sunday and I'm at such a weird place in my life. Unemployed for the first time since I was 20 and low-key happy about it. Turns out, spending 11 years working a job you don't like, with people you find annoying, in a workplace that sucks will slowly kill you from the inside out
