When we say "joy is an act of resistance" one of the meanings - not the only one, but an important one - is "you cannot operate on spite and rage forever, you will eventually flare out, having consumed all your fuel and then yourself, you must nourish your soul as well".

It’s been a helluva week. Where are the positives? Who’s making art? Who helped a lost pet get home? Who helped someone reach something on a high shelf at the grocery store? It’s going to be a long haul. We need some positives.
