Mastrantonio would have been a great guest star ocean scientist! She was in The Abyss, she knows wet.

Was trying to think of 90s TV moms while listening earlier today. Patricia Richardson?
How many drugs was Carrie Fisher on in 96?
Who do you picture as Dr Cavanaugh or Lucas' mom? Kate Mulgrew? Katee Sackhoff? The mysterious woman with no clues to her identity? Perhaps someone else entirely, who may or may not be named some form of Kate?
This week we have a full conversation about an episode with no acting, or visuals, or prose meant to be read by the public. They say imagination is the best special effect, after all: rss.com/podcasts/wsk...
Hell yeah, brother
You rang?
Screenshot posts this week are going to be weird. Just⦠photos of Kristoffer Tabori in 1996? I guess?
After a year and a half of talking about the seaQuest that was, we look at an episode that almost was, a script left unfilmed by the cancellation but preserved by the fandom. Lucas discovers his father may be alive in 2032, and risks everything to save him.

Very excited for the podcast episode dropping tomorrow. Even some of the long-term seaQuest fans in our audience may not know about In Father's Footsteps. And the ones who do may have been dying to talk about it with someone for years (like one of us hosts, for instance).
Hell yeah, brother
More proof that every seaQuest cast member has a Roy Scheider "Nah nah nah..." impression in their back pocket: youtube.com/shorts/AIoI3...
You think the people attending Tigers spring training games know they are in the filming location for the mech sequences in Playtime? If I ran Joker Marchant stadium I'd put up a plaque or something.
Screen capture from seaQuest 2032 season 3, episode 13: Weapons of War. Chaodai defector Kimura stands on the seaQuest bridge, her white paneled spandex bodysuit standing out among the UEO seasuit uniforms of the crew.

The early cancellation meant missing out on a dozen episodes of Kimura, but also losing out on her cool pilot suit. She's like an alien!
Unfortunately, Playmates did not mold this or the Lucas figure for finger-interlacing action.
SeaQuest is the only submarine ever built where space isnβt an issue. Manβs got easels in every corner and a sombrero for every day of the week.
Screen capture from seaQuest 2032, season 3, episode 1: Brave New World. A very wet Tim O'Neill wears a giant hat in a dark bar.
Screen capture from seaQuest DSV season 2, episode 18: Daggers Redux. Tim O'Neill sits outside in a park, painting landscapes on a collapsible aluminum painter's easel.
Neither the sombrero nor the easel are the same prop from earlier episodes, but I appreciate the effort for Iconic O'Neill Props, and I think these are both better looking than the ones they're meant to recall

Yes, that sombrero is my roommate. It also saved my life. So no, I don't think it's funny at all.

This Thursday, WSKRS goes over the unfilmed script In Father's Footsteps! Now, how do I find a trailer for an episode that doesn't exist? Close enough, I hope www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVko...

Happy birthday Stephanie Beacham! Hereβs a long and recent interview from her: youtu.be/Au3iZ1KNRGk

Prepping for upcoming episodes on the unflimed scripts, left abandoned by the cancellation, adapting them for audio in the style of Big Finish's Doctor Who Lost Stories line would be the best thing for them. If we were a professional show with a budget, and without day jobs, we'd do it ourselves,
Dear @bigfinish.bsky.social, whatβs the harm in reaching out to Amblin? Not like theyβre doing anything else with it.
They did not! The three novels were commissioned as part of the launch window multi-media push, but were not continued afterward. The last was published March 1994, still based on the O'Bannon show bible and premiere script, rather than the versions that went to film.
It's all numbers, we're all good here.
Showing up to the Star Trek fan meetup in our UEO seasuits, looking to start some shit.

Whenever Hudson gets desperate enough this screen pops up on O'Neill's station display:
The fun way to make a prop condom is call up a manufacturer, place an order for 500 with your custom graphic, and hand 495 out to cast and crew while you keep a few spares for the scenes.
Image of a page of an online tv memroblia auction listing. One lot includes squid poop from Treasures of the Tonga trench, employee badges from the Stinger, and other items. A second lot includes Bridger's digital clipboard, personnel dossier, and a signed photo of Roy Scheider. The third has Lucas' ID, condom, and family photos from Abalon.
A 2018 Prop Store auction included almost a dozen lots from seaQuest, and I'd like to draw attention to one page of the catalog. Not only could one bid on a chunk of Krieglite, but also the condom Krieg gives Lucas. Big day for #KriegGang
