AMA will be tomorrow night - goal is to try (read: probably fail) to get some sleep in a sec!
Iβm seeing a ton of this floating around.
Itβs true, weβre bombing the hell out of Iran, but this war isnβt as one sided as theyβd have you believe. In a week, the US has lost at least two (possibly more) AN/TPY-2 radar.
We have less than 15 of them and they take years to make.
Oil up by $12 a barrel in less than 12 hours.
Gas prices skyrocketing.
Almost 100,000 jobs lost last month.
Another war in the Middle East.
Are we great again yet?
1 week
Ok maybe 3 weeks
Wait, 5ish weeks seems right
Probably until September
INDEFINITELY!
Oof. Multiple THAAD radar systems have reportedly been destroyed by Iran. Thatβs bad.
Iβve also seen some surprise that Russia is providing Iran with targeting data for US forces, but that was expected. Weβve been providing Ukraine with targeting data for 4 years.

The fuck kind of answer is this
And thatβs how congressional hearings are supposed to work.
Hopefully there will be some fraud charges to go with it.
But way to shit your pants and change your shirt, Trump.
Trump is quizzing people on the Hill on whether or not he should fire Noem.
A lot of them are saying yes.
Itβs looking increasingly likely that Kristi Noem and Lewandowski funneled almost 200 million in government money to a company that is run by her friend and that nobody can give an address for.
Oh, and it was 8 days old when it was awarded the contract.
Just a thought, maybe SecDef shouldnβt jerk himself off on live television at the thought of casualties in war.
War isnβt something to be giddy about. Were the most powerful nation on the planet. Weβre supposed to be the quiet professionals, not carnival barking morons.
Check out the number of votes.
A democratic candidate just won in the *checks notes*
Arkansas state house special election.
Flip from R to D.
Bunch of Senators on both sides sounding the alarm about possible boots on the ground in Iran after their classified briefing today.
I was told Kamala was going to send my children to fight in Iran. What happened?
I need to stress something here:
The US destroying Iranβs navy is about as impressive as prime Michael Jordan dunking on a toddler.
I know the administration needs something to brag about, but this outcome was literally never in question.
This is fantastic. I just wish they had courage before they announced retirement
I love it, but it would be nice if they had courage before they announced retirement.
Itβs hard to say, because thereβs some evidence that Iranian forces arenβt using much of their top tier stuff yet.
Weβve only seen a few missiles with submunitions so far.
Whether that means theyβre saving them for later, or that they simply donβt have many is up for debate.
Finally, the military has hard stop inventory requirements for true βbreak glass in case of emergencyβ situations.
These are minimum stock levels that we wonβt go below unless absolutely necessary, based on projected needs for a major war.
I just hope the admin listens.
Weβre already seeing mission creep. We went from βa week of strikesβ to βmaybe 4-5 weeksβ in literally a day.
Iβm reminded of the conservative panic that Obama was using all our bombs on ISIS, and I hope someone is telling Trump that no, we canβt actually do this forever.
2. Trump is already floating the idea of tapping into supplies at other combatant commands.
Talking about taking from PACOM to feed CENTCOM on day 3 is⦠rough.
At this point, itβs a race to destroy their missiles before we have to ration our interceptors.
1. Trump is already doing his hyperbolic: βwe could do this forever!β nonsense.
Iβve often joked that the military has so many stockpiles that our stockpiles have stockpiles, and thatβs largely still true for offensive weapons.
Not the case for defense.
Standard doctrine calls for using 2 (or more) interceptors per missile to increase chances of a successful hit.
At some point, this just becomes a math problem.
What does that look like? Eventually, you get to extreme interceptor rationing and accepting leakage.
Interceptors are expensive and slow to produce, especially when compared with the relative speed of cheap ballistic missiles and drones.
This quote nails it:
βThey can chuck garbage at us for substantially longer than we can chuck Lamborghinis at them.β
Letβs talk Iranian war.
Youβve probably seen a lot of hand-wringing over missile interceptor quantities. Are we running out? Can we fight for years?
As usual, the answer is somewhere in the middle.
Bottom line up front: interceptors are a finite resource. Thatβs a fact.
Well, we did it because of the protesters
Nukes
I mean theyβre building an ICBM
We did it defensively because Iran was going to attack us
I mean Israel was gonna do it anyway so we did it too
They were gonna attack us because Israel was gonna attack them so we attacked them
Another side effect from his suspected Alzheimerβs treatment? Or is he turning into one of the lizard people?
The US Embassy in Riyadh seems to have taken a direct hit.
No idea on casualties, but it looks bad. Hope it was evacuated.
Trump and Hegseth both opened the door to boots on the ground in Iran today.
Who the fuck voted for that?
π² Qatar says they shot down two Iranian Su-24s
CENTCOM now says 3 F-15s were shot down by friendly fire over Kuwait. All crew members are alive and in good condition. π€¦ββοΈ
