Newcastle were hanging on – then along came Will Osula’s wondergoal
Eddie Howe's side are kings of endurance, champions of getting through. Against Manchester United, they got their reward
“It’s one of the best emotions I’ve felt, and I’m sure a lot of people will say the same,” Eddie Howe said. “We needed it, and we know we needed it.”
From hanging on to breaking hard, Will Osula’s wonder goal is a game changer and a mood shifter for #NUFC

No, I don’t think that’s right. As we say here one of (many) reasons Tonali appealed, was his vice captaincy role in Milan. Bearing in mind what happened with his ban, that’s perhaps not the greatest example but it’s not just a “cloggers” charter. Thiaw is seen as a future leader.

Newcastle’s leadership group is essential to the club’s success – but it needs reinforcements
The departure of long-standing club captain Jamaal Lascelles makes recruiting players with leadership qualities an imperative this summer
Newcastle’s senior pros have been pivotal to the team’s mini reset, but with age & injury a factor, insiders admit there is a “concern” about leadership. The next generation are quiet.
In a big summer, #NUFC will be seeking leaders.

No, it’s a good point. I don’t think there’s a short cut any more. You try to supercharge sponsorship / commercial, develop players, sell on at the right time & go again. But with no SD or CEO last summer, it never felt like NUFC were in control & they’re still suffering from that.
