An intricate octopus cut from a single piece of paper
Japanese artist Masayo Fukuda hand-cut this life-sized octopus from one sheet of paper. Known as Kirie in Japanese (translated as “cut picture”), the art form involves cutting intricate forms from a single sheet of white paper and then contrasting it against a black background to reveal the design.
The moon going from full moon to a red moon and starting to go back to a normal full moon, then my camera battery door fell off.

Actually there was one of these little guys in my place when I moved in a few months ago, and this makes me feel like maybe he was my official Washington welcome committee and I didn’t realize it. Good thing I was polite and didn’t let the cat eat him.

Me too. I know everything going on is really important, I get it, but I’d originally curated my feed to be all cool space and nature stuff and art and writing because I craved one tiny happy place to go to, without all the Horrible(TM). But now the Horrible is everywhere anyway. Sigh
