Somewhere in HA's mind, they could be convincing themselves that IF the regime survives this war, they may still end up with a political leverage they can use internally. Absolute madness. #Lebanon #Iran

It's been 4 days since the war started, but it feels like a lifetime. #Lebanon
the streets. We are caught in between monsters; between a ruthless enemy that wants to impose his conditions & an Iranian proxy that has no regard to lebaneese life. Everything for the future seems bleak.
Whats happening in #Lebanon is absolutely demonic. In the past evacuation warnings would be issued to specific buildings & its vicinity now were receiving evacuation notice for an entire suburb of the city & almost the entire south causing mass demographic displacement. People are sleeping on-
According to a media outlet the widespread evacuation orders are due to concerns of possible secondary explosions after the strike resulting from stored explosive materials used in manufacturing rockets such as ammonium nitrate !!! As if the port explosion wasnt enough ! #Lebanon
so #Lebanon is occupied...again
It's ironic that nuclear weapons, which were pursued as a deterrent against Western powers, ultimately led to the very Western dominance they were meant to prevent. #Iran

Every ceasefire agreement has been a step down from the one before it. The 2000 terms look favorable compared to what we ended with in '06, and the '24 agreement will probably seem preferable once this one concludes. Each war doesn't reset the situation, it worsens it. #Lebanon
The worst part is that those rockets went from a place the Lebanese army said it had swept and taken arms from HA.
this is suicide god help us
BREAKING: Israel has launched air strikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut. @IDF statement says Hezbollah militants fired rockets across the border. Israel has continued to strike southern Lebanon almost daily since the November 2024 ceasefire but rarely extended to the capital
stay safe!
Motherfuckers bombing Beirut now. Just woke up to the sound of very loud explosions.
With the collapse of all forms of extreme ideologies (religious, Pan-Arab, etc.) over the past years in the Levant, & the void that may have been created in the region, I think it's time our thinking moves inward towards what type of social contract we want to have(decentralization, federalism, etc.)
Strikes today seem to be more focused on the internal security apparatus of the regime. This is a very tightly planned, methodical operation; on the other side from #Iran, you have absolutely nothing, there seems to be no plan just chaos.
The armies in the Gulf countries are mostly focused on defensive capabilities. They have a lot of modern equipment, but they're not much into offensive operations. So, I think they may do some limited counterattacks, but not more. Definitely, they can't replace what the American army is doing now.
The Axis left an endless blood trail from #Lebanon to #Iraq, but the unforgivable sin was covering up the chemical attacks in #Syria. 214 dead children through chemical warfare? That was a choice they had no problem living with, & then they preach to you about morals and ethics. #Iran
a reign of terror. Those that assassinated the supreme leader are no heroes true but there has been a gun pointed at our head for a long time and with him gone there is a slight of relief. I think were entitled for that for the very least, no? 2/2
What people outside will never understand is how destructive Iran's proxies were in Lebanon. We value our democracy because it's one of the few items that distinguishes our country. Countless journalists/activists assassinated, students being chased around universities for their opinion it was 1/2
hope so but for now it seems very bleak. π€·ββοΈ
for the time being beirut feels safe β€οΈ
My theory is that the supreme leader was assassinated this morning, & because of that, they have been targeting whatever they can. It just makes no sense to target residential buildings in the Gulf otherwise. It's such a desperate act of survival mode now. I could be wrong it's just my own theory.
Each side is tight-lipped on the supreme leader's fate for different reasons. #Iran
Marie Covlin π«Άπ» such a fearless journalist her death was such a tragedy
at this point we got used to things, another wave, maybe we'll survive this time, maybe not. Who knows.
I miss the smell of soldering electronics to a circuit board. It's a hobby I missed more with time.
because morals ...
I think they want to run Anthropic to the ground, corner it & eventually get it bankrupt. It's not easy to control this tech company
