EH, I THOUGHT YOU WERE ALSO BRITISH, AND WHAT IS THE OTHER THING YOU ARE REFERRING TOO BTW.
I'm only Scottish, but is Tariq a chucker?

It was shocking. Beyond any political knockabout. Disgraceful.
Racher Reeves' record breaking budget surplus.
Paul Dales, the chief UK economist at Capital Economics, said: βThe economy started the year looking a lot healthier and will give the chancellor something positive to point to in her fiscal statement...β

PM Badenoch or Farage would also be on this stage
Itβs remarkable how many people on this site are willing to sacrifice other peopleβs lives & jobs in a desperate attempt to βownβ Starmer.
It's clear Starmer is liaising closely with the EU at the Commission and member state level. He is not freelancing. This is all being coordinated. That is important to remember in all of this.
Instead of sensible heads weβve got people on social media descending into hysterical calls for sanctions, tariffs & disarmament.
These arenβt serious people. They are trolls who thrive on chaos. instability & conflict.

Perhaps now itβs not the time to use the actions of the Orange Baboon as an excuse to play politics & attack Starmer.
Because you might end up looking like someone who puts short term politics before the national interest
bsky.app/profile/dhot..., this thread by Duncan is absolutely spot on.
This is the problem when you try to frame everything through a βah but in England..β lens. Drug deaths are in part so bad because the SNP Scotgov slashed services. They need to get their own house in order and could learn from rUK rather than petulant ill-informed point scoring.
But "Our nationalism is better than your nationalism" said every nationalist ever.
Reading reactions to the Caerphilly by-election result and came across some folk arguing that the Reform voters, and the Brexit voters before them, are actually the English living in Wales, because the Welsh would never. For those who lived through 2007-2011 in Scotland, this is familiar territory.
Alexa, play @BBCNews . Not even a mention of Iran. π€π
@andyburnham.bsky.social @lcrmayor.bsky.social what a fantastic book this is. Anyone who loves the north and is passionate about a more equal Britain should read it. Andy and Steve are brilliant
The nationalist right is arguing that people should lose UK citizenship because of views they express. The government is not rejecting this outright. Yet another total failure of leadership. It's pointless hoping for Starmer to do better. He can't. It's not going to happen.
I already agree with this in principle - citizenship is an untouchable status or it is nothing - but also for reasons of prudence. βThe Home Sec can revoke citizenship when he/she deems someoneβs online output sufficiently offensiveβ is a v dangerous precedent to set with Reform leading all polls.
