aol was a sequel to loz. alttp was a prequel to loz/aol. la was a sequel to alttp. oot was a prequel to alttp. mm was a sequel to oot. ww and tp were other sequels to oot. ph/st were sequels to ww. ss was a prequel to everything and is when the timeline first appeared

probably chosen to have zelda introduce herself to keep players from being confused. and then there's also the ships at the end of oosa and beginning of la that are exactly the same down to the last pixel outside or the sails which are lowered in la because storm. SORRY I AM GOING OFF I'M AUTISTIC
solely done by fans because of zelda introducing herself to the player, which wasn't done because it's a new link and zelda but was done back at that time because ladx was recently released and marin finally got color, so she was orange. and then zelda in oosa is also orange. the devs would have (+)
in that game which is why i don't like it that much 😭 i didn't even get my lore about the preexisting zonai ruins in faron they just gave me more zonai ruins and made me more confused.
ALSO NOT TO MENTION the oracle games totally come between alttp and la but i also fear that was a change (+)
distrust in the timeline (though i am a believer in the fact botw was designed to fit into the downfall timeline due to lots of evidence i could keep rambling on about). and then totk came out which is the outlier for me because i feel like nintendo didn't even try and the lore is so convoluted (+)
mc, as those three were made to be capcom standalones (two for multiplayer, one to explain lore from the other games). all of the rest of the games up until the release of botw have either been sequels or prequels to preexisting games. and then since botw doesn't perfectly fit, that also caused (+)
also, lowkey hot take about the fandom frustrating me but i'm not a fan of nonbelievers of the zelda timeline since it isnt even confusing... the only games that don't exactly fit and have caused people to originally be distrustful of the timeline introduced in hyrule historia are fs, fsa, and (+)
totk's entire existence and it not providing any good connection to botw. they also introduced the zonai and both totk and aoi don't even provide much lore to them even though there's so many possibilities... 😔

ooooh zelda games always have such good mechanics but imo i gotta go with albw. the painting mechanic combined with navigating between hyrule and lorule to reach places you normally cant is so fun and cool and im totally not obsessed with albw at all
