Was wondering if all-in-one heatsink + LED PCB + lens connectorized modules were available. Turns out yes, but not from major vendors... the custom lightsaber community makes them.

remember 2019 when everyone was telling arts majors to learn to code instead
Missed this the first time around, thanks for bringing it back.
Sean O'Skea made the Vectorworks tutorial videos I watched in college to teach myself Vectorworks 2013. Now he's in the middle of a new series of videos for Vectorworks 2026. They are very good! www.youtube.com/watch?v=spDK...
Maybe your 2026 resolution should be to move to Baltimore
biggest technological revolution of our lifetimes and it's not AI or blockchain or cryptocurrency or metaverse.

this website is just perfect. the most straightforward banner notification every designed:
I meet more and more young artists who have been taught there is no way to make art (even a small one-weekend show) without tens of thousands of dollars and lavish producers, and it is hard to re-train them to be scrappy and thrifty.
Had this at my former workplace- a theater scene shop. Worth every penny, had been there for nearly 20 years.

I am lucky that I went to a small college where the facilities department let students build temporary theaters in unused building on campus. We learned SO MUCH by doing that. It was the most useful stuff I learned in school and it wasn't even in the curriculum.
I fear that educational theaters these days are too easy to use, so students learn to abstract away all the controls and networking infrastructure and configuration it takes to make a theater function. Make theaters jankier! (and save some money in the process)
I was just perusing their catalog a few weeks ago :/
