just fwiw, here are the arguments being made, in order:

1. iran has apologized to its neighbors and admitted it lost
2. this is unprecedented and because of me
3. iran has not surrendered and will collapse if it doesn’t admit it lost
4. i am going to bomb iran more and worse until it surrenders

Not too long ago I found out that all the sounds of the island scenes - including Tom Hank’s’ dialogue - was added in post-production. The sound of the waves made it too difficult to capture the sound on-scene.

But the result is pretty flawless!

Yeah, that’s just a straight up lie.

Also remembering the Republican Party’s plan to host a midterm convention. Sure is gonna be great visuals of them partying during All Of This!

Remembering how by the end of his time leading the Republican Party to ruin, Bush was so toxic that he appeared at the 2008 RNC via video call.

And how there is zero chance that Donald Trump or his children will let the 2028 RNC be about anyone but him.

It’s called β€œvetting,” asshole. You’re running for a high-profile U.S. Senate seat with zero political experience. Of COURSE they’re gonna dig into your past. That’s standard.

Once again: Everything is a conspiracy when you don’t have a clue how anything works.

Joe Rogan calls trans people "f**king perverts" & blames them for school shootings - LGBTQ Nation He's the world's most popular podcaster.

Remember how Joe Rogan was "just asking questions" about trans women and sports and didn't have a problem with trans people otherwise?

He's now a full on anti-trans genocidal fascist.

There is a reason you hold the line at sports.

To be fair, that’s the job of a normal spokesperson. For a Trump spokesperson specifically, it’s just β€œMake your boss happy you said his name on the tv”

I think a key part of how we Get Through All This is figuring out how to get a decent chunk of that 40% to find other hobbies.

We might not change their hearts or minds, but we maybe might be able to make them tune out of politics.

I do think β€œGraham Platner was a bartender who personally served some DC pundits and reporters and was known to them” is a pretty big part of the skeleton key to unlocking how he got so much cash and media attention so fast and why they’re so determined to stay all in on him now

After Louis and Marie Antoinette got guillotined, surely that was the end of oppression in France, yes? And the monarchy was forever abolished? I haven’t started the next chapter of this book yet

β€œIf your boss works with you as a working class person, that means your boss is also working class” is such an amazing thing for him to say out loud

This thread is not about whether Platner is a Nazi. It’s about how he lies like a toddler when he’s cornered. And that’s enough. He’s not electable, and Susan Collins knows it. You can too, if you can read this thread, or this 18-page document. 2/

So what is it? Conservatism is deeply concerned with the social order,
specifically it is concerned with upholding those parts of the social order that are extra-human in their origin. This is the first, and most significant, conservative core concept. The belief that there are aspects of how society is ordered that are beyond our control, that we did not make and cannot change. Underlying rules that we may deviate from, but only to our detriment. We can, however, recognise them-they are permanent, predictable, and preservable.

This is a good piece.

This definition of conservatism reminds me of Francois Quesnay and the physiocrats, who believed in a (extra-human) β€œnatural order” and a (human) β€œpositive order”, the latter of which needed to be brought into alignment with the former.

I thought this was a really excellent piece - one that captures how Trump really is a break from the past, while remaining unsympathetic to the evils of past conservatism.

I cannot easily describe in words how frustrating and stupid that its been clear for a while now that Donald Trump's biggest wound is his handling of the Epstein files and the Epstein situation, who died not like a year or so ago, but damn near a decade ago, with most of this shit known at the time

06.03.2026 11:19 πŸ‘ 281 πŸ” 56 πŸ’¬ 11 πŸ“Œ 2

A court of law determined that E. Jean Carroll told the truth that Trump raped her, and Trump demonstrably lied in said court when he claimed he’d never met her in his life, but it’s somehow uncouth to mention this.

I’m beginning to have a hunch of a suspicion that the guy who openly bragged about being able to sneak into the dressing rooms at the pagents he owned (also the owner of Miss Teen USA) might possibly potentially be a predator. Perhaps.

He sells oysters to his mom and, on the most fundamental level, that’s just not a real job.

He’s just some guy who doesn’t use moisturizer.
