BAAAAAAABE BABE BABE BABE WAKE UP THEYβRE RECREATING THE 2008 FINANCIAL CRISIS FROM FIRST PRINCIPLES
I read fiction at a snail's pace, but I'm starting on Mistborn.
Impress me, Sanderson.
βAdditionally, we find it deplorable that some established palaeontological organizations are not taking firm action to protect their members... As such, executive committee members from organizations that are not issuing public bans to these individuals are also banned from our events."
I hate to start beef with a children's entertainer, but we need to talk about the ideas Ms Rachel is putting into the heads of our youth.
The week starting on Sunday and ending on Saturday? Absurd. Laughable. I can't believe this person is credentialed.
All's Fair is a game where sex and intimacy are an expression of rebellion against a fascist regime.
In a few weeks, you'll be able to hear me explore that roleplay with my dear friend and Quinn audio creator Nick Meyer, over on One Shot
back the game at hornywizards.com in the meantime!!

In the forefront the black silhouette of a wolf wearing a yellow head set!

It's about two people that want to fuck so bad that they save the world about it, so like if Star-crossed made you do a Final Fantasy adventure, which is really cool. I don't want to undersell the game. Bit just lands better when I do.
Well, one involves stacking dice as a primary mechanic, which makes episode length hard to control for, and really can't be audio-only. It needs a camera set up.
The other one is about fucking.
In 40 minutes, you can back two games that I'm very excited to play and that I will never do an AP with for very different reasons.
Reads like the people birding about quiet quitting, and it gets the same response: "Shut up. That's how it works."
Nothing like AI-generated cyber security training.

Fuck ICE and fuck you too if you support ICE.
Canadians! If you're looking for ways to aid the resistance efforts of Americans, @rachelgilmore.bsky.social compiled a resource of Canadian companies with ICE contracts. These are excellent targets for local resistance with international effects!

Every discussion on how to build Batman in D&D should be immediately interrupted by someone with a shiny nickel.
You can't. You shouldn't. That's not what this game is, and actually playing that character will feel nothing like Batman.
You know what actually matters about ttrpgs? The quality of the paper stock
That's the exhausting bit. They'll complain about "I want to play a heist, but D&D doesn't do that!" and then complain that asking them to learn BitD is too much work.
They don't want to play D&D either. They just don't want to learn more.
Bud, you know as well as I do that the people complaining about the math in D&D aren't about to learn a new system.
I say probability is interesting is because the reason for this is intuitive even if the result isn't.
The effective bonus is less for low numbers because if you're already going to succeed, there's less benefit to trying twice.
At high numbers, the result is just unlikely on both dice.
I don't disagree that advantage was more elegant. I'm saying I've spent my decade and a half in the hobby watching people complain about having to do too much math when the game is add static number to random number.
The equivalent bonus depends on the target DC. If you want to beat a 5 instead, the equivalent probability is about a +3. For a 20, it's about a +1 (technically less because it's 4.75% more likely to happen with advantage).
