(Sorry for the typos in the first post!! >< )
But it is surprising to me coming from the devs to go this much in autopilot, after having been so daring shot after shot before. Maybe we (devs) are getting old too⦠/rambling
Now maybe it IS great for a certain type of folks, the same way ACNH found its audience that loves the frictionless hyper customization while older AC players lament the lack of friction that used to be the whole charm and quirk of before. Iβm not a barometer for everyoneβs taste of course.
Thereβs a lot of that but i feel there is a connection lost too. Between publishers and players, maybe between devs and their own game sometimes. Your article paints a game that should be great on paper but, as you explain, feels detached and tone deaf.
Itβs interesting hope many of these examples of me game iterations (this but also animal crossing, for instance) that seem reliant on nostalgia and make insane sales, while also lacking in heart, if you look closely?
Trying things
Iβm easily amused

And soon, soon... Toruneko... *rubs hands
Well so far so good! And I've been pretty strictly instructed with getting the game tomorrow so, yeah, I think she'll be fine :D It's super fun to be a passenger on that one and see her engage with turn based gameplay for the first time. :)
Daughter crammed 7 hours into the demo, and it's her first RPG, so it's got that going for it :D
I think i had missed that one! Thanks!
My actual fav Zelda! Is it your first time playing it?
I've been looking out for this one to come up in my local second hand market for years, I think your post is pushing me over the fence of looking for it online... :D
A render of Ridge Racer mascot Reiko Nagase.
A render of a row of cars.
A render of a car with its doors and trunk open.
A rende rof a silver car drifting.
Found a Ridge Racer Type 4 press disc on archive.org absolutely loaded with high-res renders. This is my Holy Grail.

Not a single mention of Electroplankton, what has the world come to

Hell yeah. The regained focus really does it, tbh.
Some people do react, most don't care. :D
The goal is not so much to go completely offline but to be more intentional about my usage of tech, and I'm realizing how little I really need it since I started working more on paper, then moving away from streaming services, etc. And it feels really nice.
Even I'm finding my own picture pedantic, and slightly hypocritical since I'm bragging about being offline... on social media, but in truth, I'm going down that very, offline path at the moment, less phone, less social media, less online in general, and it does wonders to my broken ass brain.

Just sayin'
Remind me to never open a cupboard if I ever happen to be at your place. Stuff falls out every time you do! ^^
