I am having the same issue with my YA that comps Death in the Cards.
This is Hestia the house goddess and Falcor the luck dragon who identifies as a problem.

Me: Sure. (As I'm leading the patron to the shelf , the daughter comes up. The patron tells her about the books and asks her if she wants to check them out.) I say it's totally fine if not.
*daughter grabs books out of my hands like I'm gonna take them away*
A friend of mine made me earrings with my book covers. Had a cool interaction with a patron about them.
Patron: I like your earrings.
Me: Thanks! They're my books.

Me: I wrote them.

I did my first virtual author visit about 2 weeks ago, and it was awesome! Then, I visited a local school for a library outreach, and the class had been to my virtual author visit. All they wanted to talk about were my books! The teacher told me afterward that the class was star struck. 🥰
