Reading online essays about people who think of themselves as failures, as they are stuck in life while "their friends are steadily climbing ladders of success". Being in the former category, I feel alone here. So many underdog essays out there but I am yet to meet one in person.
I love scrolling through my own profile. As someone who hates herself, it gives me some relief. But does the cons outweigh the pros? It feels like I have to upgrade in my life. Create a blog rather than the Instagram profile to feel good about myself.
...and a private account, it sounds so pointless to say I miss it. More than interactions, I liked creating a persona there, logging my diary of things I find interesting, books I read and movies/series I watch. Sometimes inspiration hits and I can come up with witty captions.
I miss #Instagram. Currently I have deactivated my account, and I have not logged in for a long time. It has reduced my scrolling quite a lot and my screen time now looks just bad (as opposed to alarming). But I miss it. With less than 50 followers, less than 10 average interactions per post....
I don't have anything to watch! I feel optimistic about #ProBono (which is not a good sign) but I am not watching an airing drama again.
After watching really good quality dramas,I thought I couldn't handle cheesy silly ones. But no, there is a part of me which adores such drama.Have to remind myself mindless fun is still fun and good every now and then. #DynamiteKiss is fun, but it surprises me that I did not like #TheLastSummer
I won't watch any airing dramas again! Started #DynamiteKiss because I need light distractions. Good looking actors (although looking tired,I am concerned about their general wellbeing) and good chemistry, and all the #KDrama tropes.Mindless fun watch but a long wait for new episodes!

DoTS was one of my earliest KDramas. I guess our tastes are different- I am not a huge fan of Stranger(did not like) and CLOY(was ok ok). Haven’t seen Mr. Queen. King was fun but not a fav. But I think you will like Reply 1988. A hunch.
Currently rewatching #NothingButYou #CDrama. Third time! Lovely one, my opinion remains exactly the same. Also giving husband company to watch #NirvanaInFire. Wu Lei everywhere!
Dropped #LastSummer #Kdrama on Ep 6. Not my cup of tea. That said, I am thoroughly enjoying the online discussions. It is so interesting to see fans analysing the characters. Even haters are bringing in wonderful insights into the characters. Shows the evolution of the audience I guess.
Started #LoveonTheTurquoiseLand. 4 episodes in. I am not exactly bored, but I am not intrigued either. Everything reminds me of something else. Currently I am cruelly selective about the content I consume, so I am likely to drop this one.

Anti-rot.The first (and only so far) step I have taken is to move away from Instagram.I did log in between my deactivation period,but I had some momentum going on,and the place looked.....crowded.Endless scrolling.I don't think I can ever go back again.Which is a shame.It was a good creative outlet.
Ah. Why do I like #TheLegendOfZhangHai ? There are problems with it, I do not deny it. Plot armour galore. Risky calculations, a dull romance. Yes. But I watched it as it aired, and had no idea what it was about, was smitten by Xiao Zhan after #TheUntamed, and the intro music was GORGEOUS.
No it is still food based, just maybe not as much as the Japanese version that’s all. There are quite a few nice recipes, including making makgolli which was very interesting. The way they eat is also so wholesome.
Maybe not as much as the Japanese version? I heard the director of the Korean version was vegan so there are no meat dishes. She literally fries flowers! There is rice cake and my fav: Crème Brûlée. All the recipes have some emotional connection with the mom as well. So it is less food centric
Japanese version is almost like a documentary with four parts. The Korean is a slightly dramatic, and shorter as it is just one movie. A bite-sized therapy if you will. I watched the korean version first so I am partial towards it. Why are these gems not streaming anywhere?!
#Blossom had a similar, almost platonic friendship. I would like to see more of such characters, where a man and a woman are friends, with no romantic possibilities, but having a very intense relationship. #cdrama
There were many interesting characters. The brother and the girl pursuing him-they had a dark vibe which could have been interesting to flesh out. I also loved the friendship between the FL, the brother and the brother's friend. A unique dynamic. #FireworksOfMyHeart #cdrama
Finished #FireworksOfMyHeart. Granted, I fast forwarded a lot. A LOT. Once the couple got together I lost interest. But that doesn't mean it is not a well done drama. There are many aspects to it, and it has done justice to them decently. But it was not what I was looking for at the moment.
I so badly need something like #NothingButYou. I don't think there is one. I love levelheaded female characters, and really nice romance, without parental drama. Yes, #sliceoflife dramas. I guess I will have to just rewatch #NothingButYou.

Only one of the many, many perks of being a #KDrama #Cdrama fan eh?😂 I am on Ep 30 of #FireworksOfMyHeart. I wish it were shorter, but so far it has been pretty decent with handling a lot of issues.
HoHoHo don't let me get started on that character. #SomethingInTheRain is one of my favs, but only and ONLY the first 6 episodes or so. But I appreciate the POV- people are cowards and far from perfect in real life and their story also needs to be told. #FireworksInMyHeart perhaps will be healing.
Wow that is good! especially the last one. (You are not a psychology major are you?) I am very interested to know how they eventually convince her. I am also curious about the second female lead and her motivations. She seems manipulative but leaves room for doubt as well. Intrigued.
