i'm almost never here bc every social media site is evil and makes me paranoid but knd6 was really good (just not for any of the popular reasons)

what's with kanade and awakening latent ableism in the entire fandom and they don't even realize the violently ableist rhetoric they're spewing it's so embarrassing to be less woke than a gacha game about this

like niigo miku sang the ena6 commission bc the kanaena parallels kinda drove the bus in the story (baby ena kanade lim hairstyle) so miku made sense bc she's also mafuyu's kanade introject and how she assumed kanade would be before meeting her for real.

i did consider miku but i think she would only make sense depending on how much mafuyu and the prospect of resonating with her are relevant to the story...? i think my problem with specs sometimes is that they never consider what the niigoloids stand for and just think of it from a game balance pov.

if it's kanamizukai it's pretty much kanamizumafu bc kaito is literally mafuyu...

i'm a little biased tho bc i want a kanamizu + vs lineup to happen for the first time but i'll be satisfied as long as mizuki is important

is it going to be kanamizu + meiko or kanamizu + kaito for kana6...

i wish i cared more for toya, but it never felt like they knew what they wanted to do with him after his first focus + the recent retcons to force abusive father reconciliation piss me off

i wish i could will it out of existence just bc of the amount of people who used it as an excuse to masculinize her in their art

it's icky when people are more invested in her relationship with rui than any of the girls from niigo though.

navigating content for them is definitely a minefield bc you don't know when you're going to run into transmisogynists who treat it as m/m adjacent. to a lesser extent nowadays but still, so i get the apprehension towards it even i do think it's interesting in canon.

it kinda feels like they only had toya in the unit so people would see it as a two girls and two boys unit ngl. mizurui i only trust people with if they see mizuki as a trans girl and treat it as m/f which it's framed as in canon imo bc mizuki is highkey the nene soft rebound for rui.

honestly if you switch out emu and kohane you would have that for the mafuyu group, but it's possible they wanted emu in that group for a reason...

hard to say until we see how things play out

i feel like it would be pretty difficult to aim for something like this across all mixed units, which you could certainly argue is an indictment of the game's writing for mixed events and i wouldn't disagree. too many mixed events are nothingburgers lol.

ena is with airi (her best friend) and her brother + nene has had interactions with both airi and akito in the past. both ena and nene have shared struggles when it comes to their crafts as well so there's potential there. ichikana is also an established dynamic and kanade with emu could be fun.

i think the groups are pretty solid all things considered.

kohane feels like the guy nobody invited but mafuyu has interesting dynamics with both shizuku and honami and mizuki is with rui which is easily the best cross unit in the entire game imo and both of them are fun with saki.

the biggest downside to shuffled units is that original units are divided so people who oshi niigo as a whole for example might be tempted to pull and tier on multiple parts which isn't advisable bc it's pretty much impossible without whaling u_u

it was obvious sequel hook and has been in the plans for a long time now, so it's very silly to act as if they decided this on a whim in response to the complaints about the lack of mixed events during wl2
