@taka-does-stuff.bsky.social this video/podcast is mostly about Allison Powell's Barkley, but at 0:52 Jeff Garmire offhandedly says he finished one loop in approximately 13 hours and 50 minutes. Not exact, but it's a start. #bm100

Thanks! Really appreciate the translations. Itβs Cool to hear any perspective of Barkley. They have quite the contingent there now. I remember watching through 1 or 2 French documentaries in the past and not understanding any of it but then randomly finding a still frame of a full course map haha.
Oh definitely. Enjoying getting to put out bits of info here and there for people and give some perspective to just how crazy tough the course is and the special the people are that are able to conquer it. But no way Iβm just going to publicly share a map that put hours to sleuth together haha
Yes. Love seeing peopleβs different niche interests all intersect at something like #bm100 and how we all put together data to share
Thanks for the rundown and the ping! Some great stuff here. Mathieuβs claim about the distance of 25 miles and 15k feet of gain line up exactly with my map/guess of the 2025 course (see the chart I posted on Sat AM) and supports the claim from Damian that the course was the same as last year #bm100
Whenever Iβve been asked before about how I know certain things about the course, I always say when runners talk about being able to find out everything about the race if you spend the time/effort and know where to look, they arenβt lying.
Oh 100%. Things have changed in recent years (regarding the entry process) and much less info makes it out of camp now. But there is still loads of stuff out there on the internet to findβ¦.
Interesting stuff. Thanks Taka!
Fair points haha. I need to work up to being able to do bfc someday to get to experience it myself
Well since you (hopefully) got a full CCW loop in, I have to ask. What was the worst climb? Itβs gotta be MeatGrinder right?
Oskar is the unidentified Poland runner #bm100
@taka-does-stuff.bsky.social this is the runner from Poland π΅π±
With the continued mentions of wild pigs, my theory is that Raichon thought one of the books was in a cave, they all went in to look, and some sort of #BM100 Lord of the Flies scenario ensued.
Lots of confirmed names and IDs in Laz's post too. But mainly I care about the stories at this point π
@taka-does-stuff.bsky.social more names
#BM100 nickname update, you only 1 after finishing loop 1, real names after loop 3. Thanks to @keithdunn.bsky.social for keeping it real.
Knew Guy was JK.
Path Finder was Damo.
Chiselled Jaw Guy was Mathieu Blanchard.
Old French Guy was Sebastian Raichon.
And Andreas Birjukovs was Latvian guy!
Those changes were added last year for 2025. Sounded to me like he was saying this yearβs was the exact same as 2025, just with the starting gate moved out of the normal campground.
Sounds like there was big red herring about the course put out by camp this year. Ratjaw is to be believed after all π
@taka-does-stuff.bsky.social 22 minutes in the Latvian is identified as Andres. The BM account above probably spelled it better lol. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/r...

@taka-does-stuff.bsky.social I run far magazine speculates that Vandermeulen was the women to finish loop 1 in around 12:30. Not confirms but Worth noting #bm100

Oops, In that case we got a trickster on the camera. Trying to do the mental math for how that works now π (assuming testicle actually was back)
Just realized the dark blue one is probably the same Kansas flag that is next to the Japan flag in the pic with Akihiro
This photo of SΓ©bastien on loop 3 confirms the speculation. For the first time since 2021 ratjaw was climbed both Clockwise and counter clockwise this year #bm100
