Carson walks into the room with a bag of groceries, the room is covered in Halloween decorations. “It’s September.” Carson says. “Exactly”, Meg (wearing a witch hat and pumpkin sweater, holding spider webs) Responds.

Normally Friday nights are family movie night. There wasn’t anything we wanted to watch this week so we decided to have a Mario Kart tournament. The kids have been practicing all week.
Ha! I’ve been training for this for years.
The four trauma responses: Fight “I face threats head on and with aggression” Flight “I remove myself from the situation” Freeze “I feel an inability to move or response” Fawn “I try to please to avoid conflict. I’ll agree with you even when I actually disagree. I crave acceptance and struggle with codependency. I lack boundaries and have a hard time saying no. I take full responsibility for things not my fault. I don’t advocate for my needs.”
A little comic about trauma responses. Which one are you?

Sorry to be a noodge, but this is my first US BookBub and I'm trying to get this odd little love story between the relentlessly mundane Molly and the angel of death into more hands while it's 99¢.

Yeah I’m pretty sure my allergy meds aren’t even trying at this point.
audiobook cover of Everything Is Tuberculosis, a new book about TB with an audio narrated by me.
14 days until Everything Is Tuberculosis, my increasingly relevant book about the history and persistence of our deadliest infection.
Meg says “exercise is so important for your health. That’s why I do yoga”. Camera cuts to Carson doing a bridge pose and he says “you’ve been in the corpse pose for an hour.” Meg, laying face down in corpse pose says “and?”
What is your relationship with exercise? I have never been a fit person but I do walk my dogs every day and enjoy yoga when I can ❤️
So awhile ago I finally bought one of those ADHD timers. It works great, which is awesome, but I keep loosing it.
How? I do not know where it goes.
I have been so excited since I found out this would be announced today! RIP any ability for me to concentrate: www.apple.com/tv-pr/news/2...
Love Y’all was such a great time. I met so many lovely people and the handful of panels I was able to attend were wonderful.
Earlier today, a small tornado (?) went through an industrial park about 5-10 minutes from us.
I heard a loud bang and what sounded like someone throwing a bunch of rocks against the front door. You could hear the wind but I didn’t know what it was until I checked the local news page. 😳😳
She’s so pretty! I’ve never seen a guinea pig with coloring like this.
Awe! 😻
Can’t wait! 😍
Without downloading any new pictures where are you mentally
“Was I Weird” (2022)
Managed to make it out of the Friends of the Library bookstore with only 1 book.
"I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now."
I finished my portrait of Bishop Budde last night. I made this version with the word "Mercy" specifically for January Patreon this month.
This week has been exhausting for so many reasons.
The kids are getting their 1st ever snow day tomorrow.
I thought Thyme was upset because she could hear the tap running (freeze warning) in the kitchen. No, she was crying because she wanted drink out of the faucet and she’s too old to jump up there herself. 😐
Molly is on #audiobooksale for just $8.00!🎉📢🎉

I can’t tell if I’m just burned out after the holidays or if I’m actually getting sick.
There may be nothing more humbling than the mirror in a thrift store changing room. 😳😳
I always make myself a list before I go and then I promptly forget to bring it.
The gods of thrifting were on my side today. I found 2 gorgeous FairyLoot editions. 1 still had the art print inside. I don’t have any of their special editions and this is the 1st time I’ve ever come across them “in the wild”. 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Post a movie gif from the year you were born.
Already obsessed and I don’t even know the plot 😍
