To this extent though? I was an avid public transport user back in the pre-COVID days and people typically were headphone users. Other theories: when phones lost headphone jacks and earbuds started costing $200; it's a Gen Z thing that permeated into the society OR it's boomers...
COVID? It has to be COVID right? COVID destroyed most cultural norms for being in public.
Happy to see WCC get a shout-out. I fully agree that the ladder tournament makes the most sense for mid-majors with one bid. Gonzaga (and sometimes SMC) is obvi an outlier but WCC tourney makes room for a Santa Clara (this year) or San Fran (previous) to have a shot at stealing an extra bid.
I mean coach challenges work in other sports, and if you do the punitive type where maybe you get 2 for a game but if you're right you keep both and if you're wrong you lose it (and maybe if in the first half you can't challenge again for the half), it could work and help π€·ββοΈ
It was amazing when the Seattle Reign had the Black Future Coop Fund as the front of kit "sponsor"

Since it often seems impossible to buy the exact same gear the athletes wear in the olympics I wonder if that's a conscious choice for them to have something special that is only issued to them. For example, the ski and snowboard sets from Kappa where you can buy a similar version but not the same.
They had been selling them but they appear to be sold out. They didn't sell the white one though which was disappointing. They have a whole line of curling gear online still.
Newest season of Shrinking addresses this in predictably hilarious fashion
"AI artist" is an oxymoron
I've got another, Foundation TV series is wildly different from the books
Starship Troopers pretty famously is intentionally not a direct adaptation and yet still became a cult classic
I like the cuffs but for a team that hasn't been afraid to push the envelope and release some truly iconic kits the past few years this feels like a bit of a letdown (even with green being our identity!)
Read and learn about all the little details in the halftime show, wonderful to learn of all the pieces that went into that performance
The D as a whole is the MVP tonight, but if Walker gets it, he's certainly earned it as the prime offensive engine for the Hawks today.
I also wasn't willing to rely on that. What if it craters? At least then I'll be able to get a ticket myself...
The forced purchase if you get picked prevented me from putting in for more cause I couldn't afford to "win" the lottery more than once π€£π
YUP. Honestly, would've been open to any Seattle tickets but if I'm going to shell out that kinda money I want to see a team I care about.
I entered for all 4 tickets to one specific game. Did not win the lottery.
Did Oregon State intentionally pick the smallest possible font for the front of their jerseys? It looks...off...
Gonzaga's vaunted defense, that carried them through three games without their starting frontcourt, and is what gave them the breathing room in the win vs St. Mary's has apparently disappeared in these past two games in the state of Oregon...
I will not let JD Vance's face ruin the opening ceremony.
He was also going to leave on a free at the end of the year anyways. And keeping him last year led to a trophy. And this is his dream club. It's a win, for everyone.
Refs decided they wanted to be on tv more tonight I guess cause those are some interesting calls...
Not sure how you can call a foul on one end with no contact and then not call it on the other when the guy gets knocked over...
Holy crap what a terrible call on that foul. Innocenti not even close to fouling.
Ike's eyes got real big on that one! Breaking some ankles on the shot fake and then driving the line for the dunk!
