Gardening and harvesting season has begun - no social media lol. I have not been online much, out there in the beautiful sun gardening and gathering. Nettles and Spruce tip this past week and fully planted veg, apothecary garden and greenhouse !

Spring is upon us, well false spring in the north or as we call it our second winter, I won't be fooled, I bet there is more snow to come !!

I am doing a 12 plants in 12 months self study. This month is Lemon Verbena !! I adore this highly aromatic plant. Lemon Verbena carries beautiful nervine and pain relieving properties. The smell will stop you in your tracks, it it so pleasurable and uplifting.

Strained some Holy Basil and Skullcap tinctures recently !! Pretty colors. Both herbs grown in our gardens and tinctured fresh late last summer.

This plant has been right under my nose for some time. I always used it for respiratory preparations but after learning from @herbcraft.bsky.social about the root, my pain has dramatically changed. Thank you Jim !

I have had chronic back pain for years. Trauma and slipped disc. So bad I often cannot walk for period of time. My journey has been to find herbs to help pain...the best treatment for my back has by far been Mullien root tincture. 5 drops every 20 min for 3 days..and my flare up is almost gone !!!

Our tiny northern community is pretty darn awesome. I cannot divulge what we meet and organize about..but its radical and heart warming.

Im feeling so lucky..our landmate returned and made us Elk tacos (they hunted from the lands around our home) and fresh oysters they foraged on Haida Gwaii followed by lemon verbena, fireweed, rosemary and spruce tip tea that I grew and foraged !! Swoon.

Alberta’s claims on territories and resources depends on the disappearance of the titleholders and the destruction of our nations. They’re doing this by ignoring the poisoned drug supply crisis and by letting individual and systemic racism run rampant in the healthcare system.
