The most painful thing is seeing those mothers praising RFK and Trump for coming out with these extremely dangerous lies. This is NOT looking out for people living with neurodivergence.
It is making me feel sick. Whilst it is not surprising that Trump of all people would have been responsible for this level of harm, the shock and horror to imagine all the implications these declarations will have. It is like we live in parallel universes.
It literally makes me want to cry.
If you, like me, are the parent of a neuro-atypical child dreading this autism press conference, please remember: These are the people hurting our kids. Not us. They are the ones stigmatizing and pathologizing them. They are the ones peddling untested science. And we should be very, very angry.

Agree, I heard about it before Bluesky even, and the idea of it being “user-owned” has always seemed appealing to me, but it is indeed very confusing even for someone who uses social media professionally like me. I still don’t even feel very confident with it 😅
