"Enhanced Oil Recovery" (EIR) produces an average of 7 barrels of Produced wastewater for every 1 barrel of Oil. This produced water often contains radiated material and a medley of health harming chemicals.

Trump administration sues California over law keeping oil wells from homes, schools Senate Bill 1137 establishes a 3,200-foot minimum distance between new oil wells and homes, schools, hospitals, parks and other places where people live, work and gather.

Years of community advocacy by pollution impacted families led to the successful passing of SB 1137 the 3200ft setback, which protects schools and homes from neighboring oil wells. Now this Administrations seeks to end those efforts.
