I blared this song so many times when I was testifying against anti trans stuff in Helena last year.
@efritz
The horrors persist, but so do I. A disabled leftist living in Montana Woodworker, writer, artist, nuisance. I made a blog about a shed I built out of cob and you should all check it out: https://cobshedproject.com/ (He/him)

I hope so, but I'm not getting my hopes up
They portray it as Call of Duty. In reality, it's more like Spec Ops: The Line...
And at the end of the year, my little woodworking business ended up losing money.
I'm planning to write a whole detailed post about how the out of date asset limit and income exclusions for SSI made it difficult for me to make extra money, but for now, have this one little example.
Funny (read: infuriating story), there was one time in September, 2023 when I had an unexpectedly good craft show and was roughly one $5 sale away from being over the asset limit right at the end of the month, in large part because I had a bunch of money set aside for upcoming business expenses.
and the asset limit would have prevented me from setting enough money aside to pay my basic living expenses during the winter months when sales were nonexistent. Both the asset limit and income exclusions are horribly out of date and need to be updated. 2/2
When I was on SSI, I did woodworking to make some extra money. If I made more than $4,000 or so a year back in 2023-2024 before I quit, I would have faced financial ruin because my SSI payments would have gone down, my income-based rent would have gone up (1)
Agreed. I mean, if it was just that he got involved, it would be one thing, but the fact that he was claiming he was "de-escalating", while trying to say the protestor was unhinged is inaccurate. Whole thing should have been handled better.
I see. Yeah, against my better judgement, I decided to watch it. Kinda looks like Sheehy had let go at the time his arm got broken. I don't know. . Either way, he definitely wasn't "de-escalating" things like he claimed...
Like, I know it's not weakness to choose my own piece of mind over knowing the truth about some incident that will likely get obscured by time and subsequent BS (sidenote: I do miss when we had maybe 1, 2 scandals max per Administration), but still, it feels like it sometimes (2), and I hate it.
Supposedly, one of the senators from my state broke someone's arm today. I can't bring myself to watch the video of it because I suffered a broken leg due to an assault two years ago and I don't want to watch something similar happen to someone else (1)
I was JUST thinking about that. I mean, didn't they say Alex Pretti deserved to be shot for similar involvement?
Legit kind of afraid to watch the video because well, I remember what it was like having my leg snapped in two a couple years ago. Don't want to witness something similar again. If possible, could someone describe exactly what Sheehy did that caused this guy's arm to break?

Iβm trans. I love being trans.
But fuck me. Can we get ONE week without some new fresh hell to deal with?
Anyway, here are 22 trans books I highly recommend, in various genres, with varied representation.
Take care of your trans friends. We are not OK. ππ ππ³οΈβπ ππ³οΈββ§οΈ
Well, good thing most of my stuff runs on Linux, because I'm never upgrading to a new version of Windows if this is what we have to look forward to...
Funny, I was literally just talking about needing a bunch of indie music to listen to while I'm working on my truck later this month
Fucking hell...
a dirty glass bottle with a rusted metal cap. Toward the top, the Gatorade logo is embossed on the glass.
Also, I found a 30+ year old gatorade bottle on said land, so that's neat
On a brighter note, after saving up my money for close to a decade, I was able to buy land where I will hopefully be building a cob house within the next couple years. And yes, I'm going to be posting about it constantly when it happens.
Between the anti-trans stuff in Canada, the bombing of Iran, and so many other things, I'm feeling like this right about now...
My biggest flaw is that sometimes when horrible stuff happens, I don't speak out because I have so many angry thoughts I want to vocalize all at once that they just kinda clog the pipe between my brain and my mouth and so I can't really say anything other than screaming.
I know a trans man who had that exact thing happen to them. If memory serves, he said he was at a gas station buying alcohol or something you needed to show an ID for and the cashier saw the F marker and basically tried to report him for having a fake ID or something.
Indie books are great because when someone isn't concerned about their book appealing to a publishing company whose sole purpose is to make as much money as possible, there is a much greater chance of said story containing excessive amounts of fun, weird shit that make reading it enjoyable
Yup!
If you know someone coming from Billings who could give me a ride, let me know.
I want to see an anime do that thing where they show the silhouette of the MYSTERY CHOSEN ONE THAT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE THE PROTAGONIST, but then have it turn out to be a random new character who happens to be the only other person on the planet with the exact same weird hair style as the protagonist
A screenshot from the game Fable of an item menu with "Crunchy Chick" selected. In the upper right corner is a picture of the item, a yellow baby chicken. A description below says "It's the bones that make these crunchy"
I can only assume you're talking about these particular birdses
How it feels when you're a creative person thinking of story ideas while standing under the shower.
If there is an actual list with my name on it, I'm going to get a copy of that and frame it lol
