A tax based on animal living conditions and on environmental footprint from the farm to fork could also be an interesting alternative providing a competitive advantage smaller farms more conscious of animal well beings.

A Meat Tax is interesting to reduce environmental footprint and for public health, but it is not a long term solution. We should encourage a culture of reducing meat consumption by offering affordable and available non-meat alternatives.

Europe should be clear in its approach and support political freedom and protection of Iranian political activist opposing the government. Military intervention is not the solution. Protection is.

On the right side of the political spectrum there is also an ironic larger degree of tolerance for split in ideas. Rarely are people called “traitors to conservative values”. This might help cross-border cooperation.
