Reuters reporting that oil and gas producers in Alberta flared (i.e. burned off excess) natural gas to the tune of 912.7 million cubic metres in 2024.

By my math, that would emit about 1.8 megatonnes of greenhouse gas emissions.

Or roughly the equivalent of Alberta's entire cement industry.

And this is the woman who owns the company that wants to mine our eastern slopes.

🤑 While the Sharp and the City are telling Calgarians that the Flames owners will contribute $356-million (38%) towards the arena over the course of the 35-year agreement, they will actually only be contributing as little as $170-million (18%).

💸 The arena deal even worse for taxpayers than advertised.
