There was something magical in them, an intrinsic beauty that elevated that of the wearer. So much more elegant and timeless than a diamond, hell, even ancient Egyptians were shown wearing them in the mummy portraits Stede had seen in the art museum. On Ed? Not that his beauty could be further elevated, and yet… Pure decadence, pure divinity. Stede had been kneeling beside the bathtub while it filled, testing the temperature of the water and adding more and more bubble bath liquid. In this moment, kneeling was the proper position for him to properly venerate Ed’s sublime form.

Was feeling might sad today. But here's a chapter that I hope will cheer up all of us. 🛀🫧
