Album sleeve for Indian instrumentalist Van Shipley entitled "I Am No Twins". Yellow background with two black and white photos of the artist, one holding a guitar and one holding a violin
Think I've only got one Van Shipley LP and it's pretty knackered, but has a great title and sleeve! (He's playing both guitar and violin on this)

Sister Rosetta Tharpe & The Lucky Millinder Orchestra β’ βShout Sister Shout β’ 1941 [RITY Archive]
YouTube video by ReelinInTheYears66
Itβs #InternationalWomensDay so Iβll be adding to this thread of women who inspired and innovated in rockβnβroll throughout, and where to start but with the great Sister Rosetta Tharpe, spiritual grandmother of all rockβnβroll guitarists?

78s are completely flat so warping is not a risk, but those piles are way too high!

I'm onto series 2 now, and the classic (awful) Lovejoy look of mullet, leather jacket etc. S1 Lovejoy would never have worn a teeshirt.
Other than the Venice two parter, I really liked S1

I have an empty sleeve for that somewhere - when I found it it had a (not very good) Hawkwind LP inside!

Dave Bartholomew - The Monkey
YouTube video by Wes MASSEY
Think spoken word stuff goes right back to the start of recording, sure I've heard some folk and blues stuff from the 78s era.
And R&B tracks like The Monkey were very popular in the early sound system days in Jamaica (at least one Mento version of this)

The first Sweet track I heard via a Ktel style comp my parents bought in the 80s. Was a bit disappointed when I later heard Blockbuster etc, thought this one was much better

Interesting list, don't recognise #1 other than the band name, and couldn't tell you how the AC/DC or Metallica ones went.
The Ice Cube is one that while a reasonable success at the time, it's got much more popular since and so many bigger (at the time) rap hits are not on the list

Having a decent beer like Punk IPA widely available in supermarkets, corner shops etc, was a godsend, easy to ask people to get it in for BBQs, company drinks, etc, when previously it would just have been big brand lagers

Bonus tracks/remixes are also a good choice to fill a fourth side? E.g. an demos versions the artist may have.
Need at least about 14-15 minutes per side to avoid the "having to keep getting up" annoyance...

Fairly common on dance 12s, e.g. having one track on one side at 45 and two tracks on the other side at 33.
I don't mind (no belt here!) but that the labels often don't say the speeds is annoying!

Glossy laminated LP sleeve, cover shows Hamilton, Katz and Horn standing in a Japanese garden, mostly obscured by a blurred foreground
Adding a bit of zen to your timeline this morning etc
Fred Katz, Paul Horn & The Chico Hamilton Quintet "Zen"
Charity find from last week. Only played once and not sure if a keeper yet, but has some good moments and interesting cello and bass playing from Katz and Carson Smith

Not sure about Rega, but Pro-Ject have a replacement power supply that does the 33/45 speed change to avoid having to change the belt.

Image from Discogs or rear sleeve of the Peppermint Rainbow LP - three men and two women in matching light blue and black outfits (mini dresses and Gogo boots for the women, blue slacks, black shirt and blue cravat for the men)
Oh that would have been nice!
I didn't look at the rear sleeve until I was washing it yesterday, but they were a groovy looking bunch:

Up, Bustle And Out "The Revolutionary Woman of the Windmill (La Bandolera del Molino)" / "An African Friendship (Une AmitiΓ© Africaine)" 12" on Ninjatune. Brown rough card sleeve with black handwritten print and woodcut style line drawing
Found in a charity over Xmas (how is it March already?!)
I was always a bit confused/intimidated by their name and track titles so despite a couple of comped tracks never investigated further. Think I was hoping for a friend or critic to say "check this out" and no-one ever did
