Some character illustration for Skylight in the US. Skylight manage unique venues such as the Domino Sugar Refinery in New York and ROW in Los Angeles. These lifestyle illustrations accompanied a set of venue maps & add a slice of character to brochures, reports and presentations. #illustration
Hmm... in both cases it's been to develop the aesthetic of the map. They're apologetic about using AI but then it has improved the design and made me push the detail a bit more. This is the future right?
In the past month I've had 2 different clients show me how they've fed my illustrations into AI to make changes. I've then been asked to make those changes. I joked it's like having another member of the team and sighed silently.

Ok, well I'd be interested to hear Jack Thorne's thoughts on the matter.
I meant it's not normal to stab someone
yep I agree it doesn't all need wrapping up with a bow. Just intrigued as to whether the Jamie character was written with particular conditions in mind. His behaviour is not normal.
Maybe it's intentionally open-ended? He shows no signs of remorse either. I stole some sweets when I was about 8 and was wracked with guilt for days!
Thought it was an incredible series. Would you describe Jamie as having a multiple personality disorder? The way he seems to deny his actions and his different personalities in episode 3 made me think he could have some sort of hidden condition.
If you're a Birmingham/West Midlands-based illustrator we're hosting a meet-up next week in Digbeth. Come along for a chat and a draw with fellow friendly creatives. Tickets can be booked here: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/spring-sti...

I've been working with Wojtek and Witch Pleas publishing on some new maps to accompany a new RPG game, Campfire. The game is currently crowdfunding and it sounds like a fantastic introduction to role playing games.
I've written a new article for @creativeboom.com about how illustrators can avoid being replaced by AI:

Not quite, but when I worked as a runner for Derby County's in-house television channel, Vision Rams, I once opened a door into Paulo Wanchope. He did not look pleased.
