Presumably the age group of say 15-40 would've provided almost all the men who went to war so the number of deaths in that age group may have been 1 in 20 or 25. Shocking to contemplate.

IF Bahrain win their final 3 games [Indonesia (A), Saudi (H) and China(A)] they could get to 15 points.
That seems unlikely in this very tight group but I am nevertheless hoping to wake up tomorrow to a draw between Indonesia and Bahrain, just to ease that little worry !

There does seem to be a general assumption that the Saudis will beat Bahrain in their next game, and they may well do so, but they have only scored 4 goals in 8 games in this group (Bahrain have scored 5 in 7 as I write this)
