Haha well most authors will talk about their own books during Word Book Day week but I do have a slide to share with kids about some of my favourite recent books like I’ve Cream Boy or I am Wolf.

CONGRATS Dean Atta and team! What I love is that the writer gets to speak. Usually, short films become the vehicle for the director to gain attention not the writer. So I am proud and glad that Dean got to do the speech!

Ahh! I'm so happy to have been shortlisted for the Ruth Rendell Awards 2026!

I enjoy spending time recommending books in teacher forums, donating books to schools or community centres, doing school events, e-mailing teachers I've worked with about opportunities, etc

I'm working on a new book at the moment and like all the other novels I've written there is a time when I think it's the worst thing I've worked on.

But it's a first draft.

I tell students and pupils that it's the editing that makes a piece of writign shine.

I need to take my own advice!
