Welp; initially chemo wasn’t on the table but the post-surgery pathology changed that. 16 weeks of chemo, coming up. Then radiation. Feeling pretty low right now. What a terrible year.

Today was the first time since Thursday’s surgery where I had enough range of movement to get my hair washed (by my daughter) in the kitchen sink. Oh my god. Human again.

If you ever want the full sci-fi alien experience, I can highly recommend a double mastectomy and lymph node removal…tubes everywhere, wrapped in plastic, connected to a strange gurgling machine, and tmi be damned, blue pee. Truly a delight.

Her death is one of the hardest to take. I’m struggling…she filled a theatrical space and a screen like few others before her. Just a spectacularly large and exciting presence that will insinuate itself into popular culture for decades. Everything she touched turned gold.
