A black and white photograph from 1937 by Russell Lee for the WPA. A big joyful Mexican-American family gathers around their kitchen table after working in the sugar beet fields of East Grand Forks, Minnesota. They are drinking cups of coffee together. There are four adults and five children. Everyone, minus one little child who looks straight at the camera, is smiling with love at a baby held warmly and securely in a woman's lap.
