Oh definitely. But, again, not what that woman would have wanted. She definitely gave off hallmark movie vibes.
And that everything she was seeing was in the show 20+ years ago, so it’s not being updated to address today’s issues.
Hah. I mean it’s been over a decade since I saw it in SF. But I said that from what I remember it’s bringing stage to screen pretty well. But that it definitely differs from the book, which is more sexual. I didn’t think she’d appreciate grabbing the book and not being prepared for that.
Also, this movie is making me reconsider my Mt. Crushmore to add Jonathan Bailey to the imaginary stone carving.

Loved seeing Wicked realized onto the screen.
As I was humming to the credits, a woman said, “Sounds like you know the soundtrack.” And then admitted she knew nothing going into the film. She then asked if today’s political climate affected/changed it or if that’s how it was when it debuted.
I’m one looking for peace and hope to bring a bit more of it in this world, especially through my work with children. They’ll lead the world someday and I pray that the work I do can plant seeds of peace that extend beyond each of us.
I have studied Christian formation and early childhood education, which lead to becoming a Montessori teacher and get to do so at a Catholic school—getting to blend both worlds and aid in the formation and development of 3-6 year olds.
