Sad to report the death of "FGS" - Sir Francis Graham Smith, Astronomer Royal 1982-90, pioneering radio astronomer, and formerly director of the Royal Greenwich Obsy. Herstmonceux, where in 1978 he was very kind to an obnoxious 17-year-old intern. FGS was still an active scientist at age 102 !!
This is pretty clear and obvious to me, but it doesn't seem to register with far-right theocrats.
