I took my buachaill beag there last December. It’s a magical place.
As we know only too well in Ireland, referenda are brutal, blunt exercises. While we have lately celebrated the assertion of rights in such exercises, we know the pain of defeat, rejection, manipulation, and exclusion. Solidarity will all Australians who have been so hurt by today’s result.
Looking forward to reading this, and to hopefully learning more about these issues when @lauraskh.bsky.social joins us in Birmingham later this month #LawAndLanguage
