It doesn't matter what race you are. What disability you have. Which side of the isle you're on. All of it doesn't matter. What does matter is human kindness. We say it a lot, and I get it. It can be a lot, but we still have to remind the few who still seem to not get it

I wanted to share this, not so people can give me any pity. Far from it. Instead, I wanted to share it as a lesson for you to not only be careful with who your friends with but also to be a voice for kindness

After I did punish the ones involved. We are no longer on speaking terms. Same to the ones who didn't try to help. It was painful, yes, but it also opened my eyes to who I could trust. Gave me an important life lesson as well to respect everyone, no matter what is going on with them

Was i embarrassed to have them? Yes, I was. I always knew that someday I would have to get them, but for my age at the time, I didn't expect it. my mother needed them too. but as their child, I was their first thought, which makes it all so much more painful of what happened

I was almost in tears when I realized that my expensive tiny pieces of tech that I was given to me were put away in an electrical box. I rushed over and grabbed them, but when I tried to get them to work, they were also broken. No matter how many times i tried to fic them, they were gone

I remembered getting back to my bag and searching for them so I could put them on, as I was still getting adjusted to them. But they were nowhere to be found. Instead, I just had snickering and ignoring stares at me. It wasn't until someone finally spoke up and pointed over to where they hide them

During one of our lunches, while I was away from my stuff, they took something valuable from me. Yes, it was expensive but it was something important. Meant to help me overcome something I deal with on an everyday basis. Something meant to help for a long time, destroyed in seconds.

The bad eggs, as I will call them, they were mean and bullies, but being the type of person I am, i wanted to give them a chance. We had some good moments and not good ones, but we still made it through. But one day, they took things too far, and it affected me in the long run

Now, i guess you could say it was almost 10 years ago when I was still in school. Had a group of friends that admittedly weren't always the best. I struggled realizing this at the time, but now I see it as clear as day. Some were really great, and we're still great friends to this day.

You know...for me, it's quite early in the morning and when I'm having moments like this I tend to think about the past.

Tonight was one of those bad memories from the past. Something that you don't really want to think of, but it's here. With little detail, i wanted to share it.
