There were 4 or 5 juvenile birds with the herd of 70+ Bewick's Swan at Slimbridge on Thursday, including one with a neck collar (314T)

Treated myself to a day out at Slimbridge with the Bewick's Swans on Thursday - waited nearly all day for 10 minutes of sunshine but it was worth it!
Ah thanks Tom I saw a sort of tombstone commemorating one further along the sea wall so assumed it was just that one which was no more!

Longest bike ride of the year so far (66 miles) took me to the New Forest for a Great Grey Shrike - apparently one of only two in the country at the moment. Lesser Spotted Woodpecker was a bonus for the non-motorised year list
