Food is one thing, but a lot of things can be found in thrift stores. My friends and I do this for fun, but not everything is junk. Let’s give our Goodwill and AMVETS stores our $. Might be a good time to clean some closets and donate. Supporting vets and other needy communities is always good.

Thanks to Bluesky for working on algorithms! Before, my fav accounts were here, but most posts got lost down the list. I had unsuccessfully tried to “train” my feed by interacting with my favs. Now, “trending news” lists prioritize the order posts appear in feeds if I check “more or less.” It helps.

I’ve noticed that Theads dilutes engagement. I find content that I like but it is block quotes from the original writer’s post without linking. The no name poster gets the likes and comments. It started slow but it now dominates my feed. I find all original content on Bluesky posted by the writer.

Healthcare is not “free stuff.” Medicaid and Medicare are jobs programs. We don’t hand out cash to poor people. We hire middle/upper middle class people to take care of them. This includes doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, radiology techs, and hospital workers. That’s a lot of middle class jobs…

I think that this is evidence for a fraud case. I can’t wait until somebody asks him this question in public. Will he contradict himself when out of court? We will see.

I just watched “The Men Who Made America” on Paramount Plus. Our current billionaires feel very much like our 1900 robber barons.

It’s the insiders that will shed light on all of this in the end.

You have to apply for a visa. Isn’t this process to vet people who apply? They are time limited, usually lasting for the length of the degree program. We want them to stay after, right?

It’s horrific that one person could ever have such a negative impact on civil society.

This doesn’t make sense. Businesses seem to want international students to come because they can be paid less and manipulated more after earning a degree.
