Political violence has no place in a civilized society. Our democracy depends on settling our differences with ballots, not bullets. We must all speak with one voice to condemn political violence in all its forms—our Republic depends on it.
I’m heartbroken and disgusted by the targeted political attack that took the lives of State Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark. My prayers are with State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette.
Iran must never be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons. We need steady, serious American leadership to end Iran’s nuclear program for good.
My thoughts are with our brave service members abroad, the people of Israel, and all innocent civilians in harm’s way.
