I often find myself needing background noise when doing art so, yeah will absolutely check that out then.
And yeah something about 4 never quite hooked me or sat right with me, I dont think I actually finished it. It felt like it brought back many elements of what I liked but, I think it got bogged down with a lot of busy work with going back to the field camp and 3 type limitation
Olimar's writing in the Piklopedia entries is another huge facet of what made 2 stand out as my favorite, him Louie and the ship had such incredible writing for all that extra content that I dont feel any game after had quite lived up to.
I really liked every cave level being treated as a sort of puzzle, you only have 100 pikmin to get through a whole cavern of increasing challenge and the difficulty came in the form of figuring out "okay how do I do this without losing anyone"
Which the challenge/mission mode doubled down on
I enjoy the rest of the pikmin games well enough, I think maybe 1 is my most favored out of the rest but 2 definitely sits as my favorite. Whereas most the games focus on time management and multi tasking, I liked pikmin 2 being far more geared towards "resource management"

I would like to believe that fairies do not suffer greatly when exploded en masse over the course of a Touhou game,
But I do like the head canon of fairy regeneration hangovers for why everything gets so calm after an incident wraps up
If gensokyo takes over a day to travel then I could see that, but fairies would want to take things like cool rocks home with them which I dont think would respawn with them
Illness though can last over a week but you could instead just pichuun to be done in a day so I think that's a solid time save
I should get more in the habit of reposting old character art for their relevant days if I don't have a new image handy
