It's a beautiful day to be outside. I'm late with my garden starters but have most sowed today. Lots of peppers, tomatillos, tomatoes, and a few squash.

Haircut day!
A bad storm woke me at 5 :30 ish. It must've been overhead. Lightning lit the room with a brilliant light. The thunder shook the whole house. Thankfully that passed but heavy rain is still coming down.
I went in for a full echocardiogram today. It was pretty cool to see everything on the screen. The human body is amazing and I saw inside of mine!
I've also loved seeing the spinal xrays at check ups.

Today was the day to remove the heart monitor patch. I only needed to wear it two weeks. That sucker was on there pretty securely. It hurt to pull it off--even with the removal swabs and body oil. I feel for any dudes out there with chest hair.

I have the Merlin bird identifying app. Besides the many crows, scrubjays, black phoebes, hummingbirds, titmouse, and finches, these came up today. :)
It may not have clearly identified the goose. Right after this, the raven perched on a nearby phone pole.

My in-person D&D game concluded tonight. It's been a handfull of years of fun and silliness. They indulged me in my favorite #dragonlance I'm a little happy and a little sad. Definitely have some great friends!

These Russian Teacakes have always been my favorite cookie. They're known by many other names...this is what my recipe book calls them. My husband made some for me today!

We watched Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery last night. I loved the first two of the Knives Out movies and this one was pretty cool too. A little mystery, some humor sprinkled in, character skullduggery...it made for a fun couple of hours. I recommend it.
