But to make it all worse, I have been listening to the audiobook for Josh Malerman’s Incidents Around the House. So not only am I vulnerable and half-naked and alone in a factory in the middle of the night, I have to worry about Other Mommy hovering over me whenever the lights turn back on.

So I am taking my time because duh, I’m on the clock, and the lights end up shutting off. And then it turns out the stall walls and door are very tall so no amount of arm waving will reactivate the lights. So I have to finish my business in pitch black like a fuckin caveman.
