Preliminary injunction in nationwide indirect cost rate case.
This means that the judge found that the plaintiffs (AAMC, et al.) are likely to win on the merits when the ruling is finalized.

Texas announces first death in measles outbreak The Texas Department of State Health Services is reporting the first death from measles in the ongoing outbreak in the South Plains and Panhandle regions. The school-aged child who was not vaccinated was hospitalized in Lubbock last week and tested positive for measles. As of Feb. 25, 124 cases of measles have been confirmed in the outbreak since late January. Most of the cases are in children. Eighteen people have been hospitalized over the course of the outbreak.
Texas measles outbreak update: 124 cases, 18 hospitalized, & now the first death of a child, who was not vaccinated.
Tragic, preventable, & a direct consequence of the deadly lies spread by anti-vaxx grifters, one of whom is now the most powerful health official in the US.
Never heard of Matthew Memoli?
Until recently, I hadn't either.
But he's the acting director behind the ongoing illegal shutdown at NIH. This Atlantic story gets into the weeds to explain why everything is still jammed up.

"AI summaries do very little to help us learn how to listen. Skim and speed-read, no physical discomfort of sitting through a tedious conversation... the summary of the meeting so you donβt have to go, and in the process, you donβt have to engage with the mess that is a bigger set of relations."

Donβt just say DEI as if itβs a bad word. Spell it out.
Say diversity, which is the lifeblood of American society & culture & innovation.
Say equity, which a just society should pursue.
Say inclusion, because decent people believe in increasing belonging, not isolating people who are different.
1. Today the NIH director issued a new directive slashing overhead rates to 15%.
I want to provide some context on what that means and why it matters.

NEW: I am asking the Trump Administration to immediately reconsider actions aimed at unilaterally forcing all federal agencies to stop nearly all federal assistance and grant and loan funding that support kids, families, and communities in Wisconsin and across our country.
