So... most years, I read a book aloud with my kids during the holiday season. They are older now (16 and 13) so it's getting trickier to find books they will enjoy.

Life's been lifin' lately. But today a good friend (@haloteachlearn.bsky.social) reminded me that PBs are my happy place.

@jashar.bsky.social's EVERY MORNING MABEL made me smile big. It took me back to when my kid was a toddler and would wait, glued to the window, for the garbage "tuhna" to come.

Right????

One of my favorite things about the #kidlit #writingcommunity is how excited everyone gets when someone's pet does a cameo during a zoom meeting/ webinar.

We all go into "awwwww, come back to the camera cutie pie fluffy pants we love youuuuu" mode.

This is an amazing interview--it's like a cup o' tea on a gray, wintry day. Or coffee on a seaside morning. Or a hunk of dark chocolate right after dinner. You get the idea. Go read it #kidlit #writingcommunity
