Holes in the retina can be zapped with laser which stops the hole or maybe closes it I’m not actually sure. All very cool shit anyway.

On a positive note: the optometrist at the glasses shop can check your eyes out and see if there is anything alarming. They can call up the hospital and you may find yourself in front of a specialist getting checked with all sort of marvellous machines.

Which is apparently A Very Bad Thing. So if you like me start seeing weird ass flashes like your own little lightning storm randomly appearing in your field of vision Do Not be a dick like me and ignore it. Go get it checked out straight away. Like within a day or two apparently.

‘pparently, when you age, stuff your eyes are made of can go a bit mooshy and the eye can swish around. The swishing can drag bits of retina around. Sometimes this makes wee holes in the retina if you’re particularly lucky.

There were 19 reported covid related deaths last week and a big uptick in hospitalizations. We're in a wave.
