Thank you for sharing that. However, I do think it’s a disservice, even unintentional, to simply put it as Rambeau was no longer using the moniker of CM without the historical context of WHY she was no longer using it.
Here’s a throwback: a competent Black woman was stripped of her rank and name over petty reasons from male editors and no one seems to care about that. Not that Carol Danvers shouldn’t be defended, but where’s any discussion on Monica Rambeau, the FIRST female Captain Marvel?
