Good news! Shifting pension funds criteria has large impacts.

It calls for 3 #separatetargets, securing #CO2infrastructure, and protecting & restoring the land sink, among other key measures. ⬇️
The EU Member states are facing a dilemma: not reaching their land-based climate goals or starting a painful public discussion around the need to decrease animal-based diets and wood consumption. The latter includes wins for individual and ecosystem health.

It´s tricky to assign responsibility in my view, since demand for forest products is "co-created" by legal frameworks in different sectors (e.g. energy demand), but also by other industries using wood for various products. Forest management cleary needs to adapt, but so does "demand" management.
Following this line of thought of looking at the national level, you`d also need to account for historic emissions in other sectors then.
