It is time I think for #science to unify ourselves. We need to come together and loudly say that from now on...
All posters will be landscape!
Or portrait, I don't care which but can we just choose one orientation please?

Today is the 81st Anniversary of the D-Day landings, and one less well-known element is the role of Group Captain James Stagg and his weather forecasting team. This is a great video on the forecasts, why they mattered, and how it changed the world:

Beyond delighted to have been selected this year as a member of the #TeamGB squad for the 2025 FIR World Team Championships in Rotterdam.
2024 was incredible captaining GB5 to bronze in the third tier Challenge Cup will always be a Racketlon highlight, but I'm really excited to step up to the O40s
Followed up with an early evening rock pooling near our stay in East Lothian! Glorious time with the kids, doing something new for them. Mostly we saw small hermit crabs ๐ฆ
Back in Edinburgh after too long away (last here in 2018!!!), but a chance to see the statue of one of the finest four legged soldier in the Polish Army in World War 2, Wojtek the bear and glorious views if #Edinburgh Castle.
Awful news this evening from Liverpool, people just wanting to celebrate with fellow fans.
We recorded it all, so everyone regardless of timezone can check out what was covered. We used padlet to gather questions to share with authors and hopefully we have some great resources to share in the weeks ahead.
It's been hard and tiring, but a lot of fun and I am keen we do it again!
It had been a long day (started at 5:45am) and we are wrapping up now, but what a day!
The Fresh Eyes on CMIP (@wcrp-cmip.org) threw a workshop across three continental hubs with science talks, panel discussions, practical sessions and networking. It was a crazy idea but hopefully a beneficial one
A bit rude to rock up, follow a bunch of people and then fire out a gazillion Eurovision based messages!
More voting today, family trip to Bristol so my wife can vote in the Polish Presidential election.
I promise, some actual #science soon!
#Albania a meh end to what was quite a significant selection of meh songs in #Eurovision tonight.
I think #SanMarino also hired Terry Gilliam to do bits of their staging with the animated statue there..... #Eurovision
For me, #France are comfortably the best of solo/ballad type tonight. Cracking voice and pacing of the song. #Eurovision
"I didn't want to be a weather forecaster, I wanted to be a lumberjack, swinging from tree to tree...." That is the vibe I am getting from #Sweden, very Monty Python #Eurovision
The clip of Made in Switzerland is the best song so far.... #Eurovision
Following #Portugal a great result here for #Denmark... #Eurovision
Quite enjoyed the big build up there from #Portugal, suggesting a big injection of energy was coming and then nothing.... #Eurovision
#Malta will not be doing a Crystal Palace and having a debut big trophy win today.... #Eurovision
Good stab from #Switzerland but it is the ultimate hospital pass being the representative of the defending champion at #Eurovision
Loving the treadmill from #Armenia #Eurovision
Feeling black was the new black tonight at #Eurovision
It won't do well, but for me #Greece was way better as an operatic song than #Austria for all the bigging up that song got from Mr Norton #Eurovision
Definitely old, I am enjoying this behind the scenes bit a lot! #Eurovision
I might be getting old as I am not liking many of these songs, #Germany in that grouping #Eurovision
Onto the second nation in our house #Poland. There was a lot going on, and sure I will be second place tonight but I think UK was better.... #Eurovision
My wife was bemoaning a lack of subtitles for translation of songs, so #Italy has pleased her. It "enhances my viewing" #Eurovision
I mean it was something, but not sure it was something good.... #Finland #Eurovision
Is it me, or are a lot of these songs sounding very quiet on opening vocals? #Eurovision technical issues?
I liked that, and I can see it doing very well for the #Netherlands in #Eurovision
#Latvia interacting with this curtain like my kids do when I have a shower and forget to lock the door..... Not a bad effort though, but I can see it blending into the mix #Eurovision
#Iceland are ready to crack on with some #volcanlogy straight after #Eurovision based on those outfits. Not a bad tune either, think it will do well in the public vote....
